Our Process
How we make sure you love your custom artwork
The Plan
The first step in the process of commissioning BWS is simply us getting to know your style, the dynamics of your family, and the type of work you’re interested in having us create. We go over locations, clothing, as well as set the date for the shoot and the reveal session. All of your questions and concerns should be taken care of before we shoot so your mind can be at ease on the day.
The Shoot
First we really believe in having us both on hand for your shoot. While I handle a lot of the photography, Stephanie is there to help with kids expressions, lighting and logistics. Having both of us makes for a very smooth shooting process and because we’ve already done our homework this is always the fun part, however we always remain adaptable and ready for any good or bad surprises. By knowing the type of images you want in advance we know where to spend the most time but we always find a way to give you additional options and pairings for other prints.
The Reveal
About a week after the session we'll have the images ready for you. After the shoot we’re still with you all the way to help with ideas and to make sure the images get to where you need them including wall prints in canvas, metal and acrylic as well as beautiful handmade albums.
